NOCTUA NH-L9
The NH-L9 series coolers have height of 37mm with 15mm think fan installed and 47 with 25mm think fan. The NH-L9 series CPU coolers have no motherboard or ram compatibility issues and is widely considered the best 37mm CPU cooler.
ALPENFOHN BLACK RIDGE (REV-B)
The Black Ridge CPU cooler provides excellent cooling performance. In some cases, out performing larger coolers. There are drawbacks to using the Black Ridge, including motherboard compatibility issue and limited RAM compatibility.
SCYTHE BIG SHURIKEN 3
Scythe’s Big Shuriken 3 is 69mm in height in stock configuration, with comparable performance to the Noctua NH-L12 Ghost Edition. It features an offset cooler design, so the cooler covers I/O shroud instead of the RAM. This approach eliminates RAM compatibility issues, but creates motherboard compatibility issues in its place.
NOCTUA NH-L12S
Noctua’s L12S is hands down the best low profile CPU cooler. Its performance is unmatched and our favourite CPU cooler for AM4 builds where 70mm of CPU clearance is available. The downside to using the NH-L12S is its limited RAM compatibility to Corsair LPX.
NOCTUA NH-C14S
Noctua’s NH-C14S is 115mm tall top-flow; high compatibility CPU cooler. It comes included with a single NF-A14 fan and is compatibile with 99% Mini-ITX motherboards.
